The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Ogun State Chapter has consoled the former zonal SWAN Secretary in the South West, Prince Dele Ogunleye over the demise of his Father, the Towulade of Akinale, Oba Femi Ogunleye.
Oba Ogunleye, one of Nigeria’s topmost Journalists, died in the United Kingdom last Wednesday at the age of 79.
SWAN Chairman, Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji in a condolence message described the late Monarch as a father, mentor, leader and peacemaker who had contributed to the growth of the journalism profession.
He said the Towulade of Akinale was a sport lover who showed support towards the success of the second edition of SWAN security Cup being held annually in the state.
" I want to sincerely express my sympathy to the entire family of Ogunleye especially to the former Zonal SWAN Secretary, Prince Dele Ogunleye over the demise of your father, it is indeed sad to lose him at a time that his wealth of knowledge is needed'
"May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire future generations,"
