" Be Hopeful Of A Better Nigeria " ------ Alhaji Ahmad charges Nigerians ........... Ewekoro Local Government Staffers usher in Ember Months with prayer session

Nigerians and in particular , members of staff of Ewekoro Local Government have been charged to be Hopeful of a better Nigeria, even in the face of the economic hardship being experienced now as a result of the fuel subsidy removal.












Alhaji Fariike Ahmad , chief Imam Jagunna central Mosque , Itori gave the charge during the interdenominational prayer session to usher in the ember months, held at the council's Secretariat, Itori.


Alhaji Fariike , stressed that Nigeria as a country needed prayer to surmount the various challenges facing the nation and implored Nigerians to pray fervently for the nation to over come the challenges and stop saying negative things concerning Nigeria.


The Islamic cleric enjoined people to do away with the negative thinking in respect of ember months.


" It is the common  belief of the people that ember months are full of evil but I want you to change your perception about such thinking about ember months. Be rest assured that it is full of goodness, once you believe that good things will be your portion, it will definitely be so." ----- Alhaji Fariike stressed.


He urged Nigerians to shun ethnicity and religion differences from wrecking havoc in the country.


" I beg you to shun ethnicity and religion differences,don't see others as your enemy but rather win them to your side by making them see the beauty of your religion through your character." ------- he explained.


Alhaji Fariike advised everyone to be merciful unto the needy without minding  the economic crunch, saying, " there are blessings in it." He cited the case of Abraham and Sarah who used their generosity to the visiting  angels to put paid to the age long barreness.


Earlier, Pastor Timothy Sola Opebiyi of the Gospel Faith Mission Int'l, Itori  had emphasised the need to be appreciative of the goodness of God at all times.


" We must be appreciative , it is by sheer grace of God that has sustained us till this moment not by our own making and to pray for His protection for the remaining four months in the 2023." ------ the man of God stated.


Pastor Opebiyi , expressed his delight to the management team and NULGE Exco for organizing the prayer session.


Speaking at the Interdenominational prayer session, the Head Of Local Government Administration, Engr. Ayoade A.A. congratulated everyone present, explaining that wherever the word  of God is being shared, angels are always present so people should have the belief that they have been blessed greatly and hold onto their faith.


According to Engineer Ayoade, quoting copiously from holy Bible, stressed the  need to strive hard to possess faith, hope and importantly love in order to receive from God and to co-exist peacefully without any rancour.


While speaking with the Information crew , the chairman, Nigeria Union Of Local Government Employee, Ewekoro Local Government chapter, Comrade Abdulsalam Ibrahim thanked the management team for their unflinching support at all times.


Comrade Abdulsalam , equally spoke on the reason behind the ember months prayer session, saying, " It's meant to appreciate God for His protection over both political and career functionaries of the local government in the last eight months and to usher in ember months with prayer to prevent evil occurrences that are associated with the last quarter of the year.


Prayers were offered for the political and career functionaries,  the entire staff as well as the people of the council area and Nigeria at large.


The Interdenominational prayer session for the ember months was organised by the Nigeria Union Of Local Government Employee, Ewekoro Local Government chapter in conjunction with the management.
