As presidential and National assembly elections are drawing nearer, the executive chairman of Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa has called on members of staff to ensure they exercise their civic right, most especially those residing and who registered in the council area to vote massively for the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate and other candidates of the party in the forthcoming elections, beginning from this Saturday, 25th of February, 2023 .
The chairman made the appeal while addressing staffers of the council at the local government headquarters, Itori.
He urged them to vote for the ruling party, for the continuation of the dividends of democracy and all round development.
His words, " If truely you love me as claimed by you, I want you all to exhibit the love on Saturday,25th of February, 2023 and on Saturday,11th of March,2023, during the presidential and national assembly elections as well as governorship and state house of assembly elections by voting for our candidates."
Hon Adesina further stressed his continued support and excellent welfare package for the council staffs and commended them for their commitment and dedication to duty while equally creating a cordial relationship between the career and political functionaries.
He eulogized the branch Nulge Chairman and the executive, led by Comrade Abdulsalam Ibrahim for the display of maturity in addressing members issues with the management and unprecedented achievements as Nulge Chairman.
Meanwhile, the council's helmsman has advised the council workforce to remain calm in the face of the naira scarcity, saying, " It is a phase and it will soon pass away."------- the chairman stated.
" No members of staff will be punished unnecessarily during this trying period but workers too must be sincere , not to hide under the disguise of naira scarcity to stay away from the office but rather fashion a way departmentally on the best option to adopt to make things easier for you."----- he advised
The workers friendly chairman, therefore gave cash gifts to members of at the meeting to cushion in the effect of naira scarcity amongst staffs.
Earlier, welcoming the executive chairman and his entourage to the interactive meeting, the chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Ewekoro branch, Comrade Abdulsalam Ibrahim applauded the the executive chairman, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa for his maturity and second to none welfare package for tthe staffs.
Comrade Abdulsalam , therefore, assured that members of staff of Ewekoro Local Government would the needful and ensured they perform their civic right accordingly.
The event which was well attended by staffs witnessed series of songs in praises of the Chairman's undiluted love and welfarism.
