As Nigerians are gearing up for the forthcoming general elections and campaign reaching feverish level with various political parties as well as individuals jostling for one position or the other, the executive chairman of Ewekoro Local Government of Ogun State, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa has sought for the support and prayers of women in the general elections scheduled for February,2023.
The Chairman made the appeal during his unscheduled visit to the members of the National Council of Women Society of Nigeria, Ewekoro Chapter in their monthly meeting at the local government Secretariat, Itori.
Hon Adesina emphasised that women had greater role to play and could be a determinant factor in the success of the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the 2023 polls , if well explored , judging by their numerical strength, with larger percentage of the population even anywhere in the world.
He , then appealed to them to troop out in large numbers on the election days and perform their civic right.
He appreciated women in the council area , for their support and show of love his administration had been enjoying since his assumption of office as the executive chairman of Ewekoro Local Government.
The council helmsman, therefore urged them not to relent in their fervent prayers for the success of his administration and victory at polls for all the aspirants of All Progressive Congress in the 2023 general elections.
In her remarks, the 2nd Vice Chairman of the National Council of Women Societies of Nigeria, Ewekoro Chapter, Deaconess Ayinde Lawal (JP) thanked the executive chairman for his kind and cash gestures to the members at the meeting.
Deaconess Ayinde Lawal commended hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa led administration for the impactful projects executed across the length and breadth of the council area.
She, therefore, gave an assurance of their readiness to support and pray for all APC aspirants in the general elections and ensure overwhelming victory for the ruling party at the polls .
