First was the ban from players transfer in 2019/20 season. Then came the exit of Roman Abramovich and the freezing of Chelsea account in 2021/2022 following Russia war on Ukraine.
And now the sacking of Thomas Tuchel after Match Day 6 of the season. The club still occupies the sixth spot as at the time the manager was sacked.
So what could have happened? Sources say, it wasn't the defeat suffered in the hands of Dinamo Zagreb of Croatia in the Champions League opening fixture.
Rumours suggest that Todd Boehly had a faceoff with Tuchel over their discussion to sign Cristiano Ronaldo which the German kicked against. Yet the team had gone ahead to win games after that discussion.
Voices opine that the signing of about eight new players had sparked off discomfort and disquiet in the dressing room especially from the older or senior players.
But again it wasn't just Tuchel's decision to bring in these players. It was an agreement between him and the owner who insider say isn't comfortable with the manager.
This leads to the thinking that there could be a grand plan to excuse everyone at the top of the club's management from Abramovich to Tuchel, Marina Granovskaia and Petr Cech.
Critics see this as a sort of operation to flush out Abramovich's control, era and loyalists. But to whose detriment is this assumption or allegations?
Surely Chelsea's rival will be smiling given all these endless troubles the club is passing through. Will they take advantage? Certainly they will in this highly competitive football business especially in the EPL.
So who are the losers in what some fans of the club seeming conspiracy agenda? No doubt the fans and genuine stakeholders of football.
The clubs legends are already reacting in and with shock on this latest development which they collectively agree is not in the overall interest of the club particularly at a time like this.
We fold our arms to watch and see where this will lead Chelsea to in the face of an unclear direction the Todd Boehly is headed for.
