According to the main sponsor of the competition ACO Showunni Kayode " The football competition would be among the 15 party wards in Abeokuta South Local Government. Also the competition meant for political campaign."

"Also we are putting security in place. There is cash prizes for the first, second and third. 200,000, 150,000 and 100.000."
A former Commissioner for Youth & Sports Ogun State Hon. Maruf Afolabi Afuape pledge that the competition would be annual event and talents discovery for Nigerian teams and abroad.
MKO Abiola International Stadium Abeokuta will be venue for the football competition.
