Ogun State Governor,Prince Dapo Abiodun has ordered  the clampdown of all illegal garages in the state with immediate effect.

Governor Abiodun  gave the order in the aftermath of shutting down of two illegal garages at the NNPC Junction and opposite June 12 Cultural Center in Abeokuta by the State Taskforce Environmental Compliance and Enforcement Exercise led by Chairman, Alhaji Farook Akintunde for constituting environmental  nuisances and operating illegally on roadsides.

"As a responsible government we will not fold our hands and watch operators of these garages expose our people to  unnecessary danger"

"In addition, this is a crucial period when our people deserve all palliatives that will relieve them of the current economic reality in the country"
